Boot: Couldn't find NTLDR Please insert another disk

Do you ever experience a "Boot: could not find NTLDR Please insert another disk "or" NTLDR is Missing Press any key to restart "or" NTLDR is missing Press Ctrl Alt Del to restart ", it usually occurs because:
  • System of Windows XP or Windows 2000 is corrupted
Try to repair or reinstall system to complete files that corrupted. Reinstall can do in console or GUI.

  • boot.ini file is incorrect configured
Edit the boot.ini file in the root direktoi C: /, make sure that the selected operating system is operating system is running well


  • NTLDR or/and NTDETECT.COM is corrupted
create a boot.ini file on a floppy disk or other bootable media, whose contents are:
[Boot loaders]
timeout = 30
default = multi (0) disk (0) rdisk (0) partition (1) \ WINNT
[Operating systems]
multi (0) disk (0) rdisk (0) partition (1) \ WINNT = "Microsoft Windows 2000 Professional" / fastdetect

Copy the files NTLDR and NTDETECT.COM from another computer running normally located in the root directory C:/ to a floppy disk. Insert a floppy disk into the computer with problems, after it restarted the computer, make sure the boot to a floppy disk. If it appears the display directory A: /, copy the files NTLDR and NTDETECT.COM to the root directory c: / by typing

copy ntldr c:
copy ntdetect.com  c:

When finished, remove the floppy disk and restart the computer.

  • Computer cannot find bootable source
Make sure the first boot it in the BIOS what:
- Floppy: whether there a floppy disk in the FDD, check its condition
- CD-ROM: is there a CD in the CD-ROM drive, although there is a CD in good condition
- Hard Drive: means there is a system error
